About NM Silver Knight
He placed 2nd in the Open Male 4-8yrs class on the 2017 Trakehners Australia National Assessment Tour, assessed for sporthorse qualities along with Trakehners and Holsteiners. International judge Matthias Werner described him as well grown, good proportioned in the body with good set neck, active walk and trot, with a lot of suspension in the trot.
New-Moon Silver Knight was started under saddle in accordance with classical principles by Jose Mendez and Tori Jeffress.
Tori describes him as:
“A lovely young gelding with tonnes of potential and lovely movement. He’s a real character to have around and a fun young horse to work with. We have been starting to play around with leg yields and turning on the hindquarters. He’s showing confidence and is fairly balanced with his work in the arena. He has been to a few local competitions and shows over the past few months. He has also had some jumping experience having been around a few 45cm and 60cm courses, although he does look to his rider for confidence when jumping. He has been ridden mostly in a bitless bridle both dressage and jumping and when ridden out over the past few months. No buck, bite, rear etc. He is one of my favorites to ride and I have no doubt he is going to make someone a super little horse, I know we will miss him!“
New-Moon Silver Knight successfully completed the 20km course at the 2017 Wingello Forest Endurance Ride, with a final heart rate of 38bpm.
